What are the after care instructions for Lash Extensions?
- Keep your lashes dry for 24-48 hours post service. this will ensure maximum bonding.
- Cleanse lashes daily - this will maximize retention and prevent buildup on the lash line.
- Gently brush lashes daily (center to tip) Do not brush near the base of your lash line due to the adhesive.
- Brush lashes when dry, not wet.
- Avoid sleeping on your face. this will cause damage to the natural lashes & poor retention.
- Keep lashes straight and neat. This will prevent straining your natural lashes, and causing breakage/pre mature shedding.
- Make sure ALL facial products are oil-free. Absolutely no oil based products near the eye area (Skincare products, make up products, make up removers, etc.) as this will cause the adhesive bond to weaken and you will see quicker fall out.
- Facials - Inform your service provider about your lash extensions.
- Avoid direct water on your lashes unless you are cleaning them.
- Avoid rubbing, pulling, and touching your lashes as this can strain and damage your real lashes. The oil on our hands can also transfer and cause retention issues.
- Do not cut your lash extensions. Consult with your lash artist if you wish to make changes to your lashes.
- if you experience seasonal allergies, you will experience poor retention. Taking allergy relief medication may help.
- For oily skin and sweating - cleanse lashes to avoid poor retention. Oil breaks down the adhesive.
- No mascara
- Avoid heat and steam (hot showers, grills, ovens, fire pits, etc.)
- Avoid strip lashes on top of lash extensions as this can leave glue residue, cause build up, and may potentially damage your natural lashes/extensions.
- Schedule lash fills every 2-3 weeks.
- Lash removal should be done by a professional.
